After reading the two positive reviews, i felt compelled to share the real story about don miguel apartment living. The only nice thing's i can say is they have nice landscaping and the majority of the residents are friendly. Management is very unprofessional, confrontational and unable to treat all tenants fairly. For example, the parking rules it's ok for certain residents to park in areas that other residents have and or will be towed at the residents expense. Believe me parking spaces are not an issue here, there are plenty because the complex is not fully occupied because they have unhappy renter's moving out monthly. Yes i realize it's a free country and i could lived somewhere else, but the reason i lived here is affordability. In order to move i needed to save another security deposti(if you ever rented before most rental companies find away to keep some of your deposit). The laundry rooms...most of the time the machines are in poor working condition and there are only 4 washer and 4 dryers for 8 buildings with have 4 units in each... do the math. Security is hit or miss depending on who is working, instead of focusing on safety they spend time assessing which vehicle they plan on having towed or smoking cigarettes. I was told recently by other residents a homeless man had set up "home camp" behind a dumpster area where residents park. It's my understanding the homeless man was there for at least 2 days and nights before a resident had to report it to management. And security had been on duty both nights. I don't fully blame the on site management staff for their short comings, i've dealt with the management company/property owners, they are also very unprofessional. Their lack management skill set, training and customer service reflects in the on site staff.
