I use to live in these apartments back when they were called Hunters Chase, back when they were classy, and clean and nice and safe. Then all of a sudden back in 1993 they changed the name peoples cars were getting vandalized, apartments burning, lights out, bad maintenance. There were no "security gates" back then, and alot of the 'riff raff" from the section 8 apts were coming over and vandalizing. I thought things may have changed, and am now looking for an apartment, but after driving through on a early evening saturday night, i now see that I do not need to live in that type of environment. Especially with the high rent! No thanks! Something needs to be done about the vandalizm and crime. Maybe they should tear down the Section 8 apartments on the corner and build some more houses, or condos. Sorry.. but such is life...

I also lived in this complex from February-August of 1993. I worked swingshift and would come home in the middle of the night to find my neighbor's boyfriend parked in my carport, to which I had no problem waking them up to make them move the car. When I found a different car parked in my carport, I asked security to have it towed and was told "they had no authority to tow it"...that's a load of bunk! I know security in just about every apartment complex is given the authority by the management/owners to request private property tows (because working for a police department, I get the calls from the tow companies reporting that they have done the tow and they have to give the name and position of the person authorizing the tow). I lived in the building that had the apartment that burned and it seemed to take forever to get it back to being liveable. An apparent gang banger did some graffiti in the dust on my car window, something I did not discover until I was driving home from work one night and the light happened to shine just right on the window...very unnerving to discover! Also, the way my apartment was positioned, if I sat on the couch in the living room, the neighbor across the way had a perfect view into my home and I constantly found him staring in at me - I thought only New Yorkers did that!! From reading all the reviews, I'm glad I moved out of there when I did! I am only sorry that the rent has gone up sooooo much over time - I paid less than $600 for my 1 bedroom that was on the end of the building right over the stream - that was the best feature!!
