Hell on Earth

This place has been nothing but hell from the moment I moved here.
First of all, I applied for an apartment, filled out the paperwork and everything and gave them my deposit. Then they told me I could not take the apartment for the time I had applied for--despite their leasing agent saying it was OK. So I said fine, give me my money back. Oh no, we can't give you your money back because you pulled out of the agreement. EXCUSE ME' You were the ones that changed the terms of what I signed. After I put a stop on the checks, they told me that they'd give me a different apartment with the same move in date.
Then, despite having applied almost three months in advance, they told us we couldn't move in because our background checks hadn't cleared. They had three freaking months and they waited until three days before the move in date to process those. Expect that all the time. We should have quit then and just ate the deposit. We were stupid. They eventually let us move in.
Then, a month later, they told us that the price we had been told to move in on was wrong and that we had to pay them an extra $200 in three days or be evicted. We tried to argue that that was the price they agreed to but they said it was a mistake and that we owed them. It seemed like it was better to pay it than go to court.
Then we didn't get a carport for months. You are told that every apartment comes with a carport, but the office is so clueless they don't know what's going on. They told us we'd have one by the end of the month we moved in--it took them almost four months to get us one.
Then our dishwasher was broken when we moved in. It took them two weeks to fix it. They don't handle any repairs out of the office--you have to call their call center in Houston and then they call maintenance for you. Real efficient system. Some minor broken things have never been fixed--and that's not counting the six-inch hole in the bedroom wall which I never bother to ask to be fixed. (Just reported it and put a dresser in front of it.)
Oh, and remember I said I didn't have a carport' They told us to take fifteen dollars off our rent because of that. Oh, then we got a letter threatening to evict us again because we didn't pay the 15 dollars.
Now I get music blasting pretty much all hours of the day through the paper thin walls. If you move here, I hope you like a heavy bass beat, because you'll hear it all the time. I have complained numerous times, and the only time anything was done about it was when I yelled at them about it in front of a prospective tenant.
Bottom line is that management is only concerned about making a sale, and once you are here they could absolutely care less about you once you move in. They will charge you extra fees at any opportunity and they won't keep their promises. It is the worst place I've ever lived and I pray for the day I can leave.
Do yourself a favor. STAY AWAY! STAY FAR AWAY! bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
