I moved in here about 2 years ago and I simply cannot wait to get out of here! Since the property was recently sold to Stratus Real Estate, the complex has gone to HELL.

The management is extremely unprofessional and can barely speak english, the maintenence crew is a joke and the grounds have gone to crap because the greasy maintenence guy in busy walking around doing nothing and combing his sweaty hair"I'm not kidding"!

In any case, If you want to spend a 1,000 dollars and up and always feel like you are talking to a brick wall, by all means move into the Avanti apartments.

P.S.
Guillermo needs to be fired and take an english class if he is going to be in a management position, especially in America.

I agree 100% with the previous reviewer. I have been living here for 2 months, I owned a construction company for 6 years, I am experienced in construction and property management. The place is nice, but the manager stinks. There has been numerous complaints, but the owners are happy as can be because it is a money making mill.

Tenants are setup for failure from the get go, the kitchen and bathrooms have cheap vinyl flooring with will not last 6 months, the rated life of the flooring by the owners is 2 years, when the flooring fails the tenant pays for replacing it, the replacement is done by the in-house employees, but the tenant is given an invoice from an outside company, thus the owners make a profit. It would be just as easy to replace the flooring in the kitchen and bathroom with innexpensive ceramic tile that will last 20 years, but then the owners will not make money on it.

The same goes for a bathroom sink in the master bedroom with carpeting around it, this is a setup, there is no way to avoid water damage from this setup, when the carpet fails the tenant pays for replacing the carpeting in the entire apartment at a cost of almost $1,000.00. The in-house employees load their pickup truck with cheap carpeting from a local mill, replace it themselves and the tenant gets handed an invoice from a local carpet installer. Both these practices are illegal and can be challenged in court.

When the lease is up the rent gets jacked up about 10% without any explanation whatsoever, tenants move out almost every day because they get sick of it. There is some hope, the tenants are talking about organizing and hiring a lawyer to protect their interest. Their first agenda is to get the manager fired.
