We just passed our 5th year of living here. Why are we still here' We need to be close to the hospital, my roommate is on the transplant list at UCI and we're close. Our problem started the moment we moved in. That first night we noticed our neighbors snorting white poweder off the wall of the patio. Within a week of that our apt. was robbed twice within one month. Our neighbors on one side were so friendly but moved, the other side was LOUD. Home theater system blasting until 2-3am. We had a shower that would not drain until it was fixed in 2006 (we moved in here in 2001). Our air conditioner and heater has never worked, yet recenlty we were hit with a $150 a month rent increase, making a small one bedroom rent of $985! We had sewage backing up in our sink and releasing gas into our apt., nothing was done about this until the apt above us experienced the same problem and it leaked through our ceiling. At this point, I am contacting the county for action or financial restitution for jobs never completed here. And also, yes, they do come in your apt. with less than a days notice several times a year, I would say at least 7-10 times. No problem with the cats/dogs, they have a right to live too-those people are being ---- (prissy). Do yourself a favor and avoid the headaches and rent nicer (across the street is a good place. I lived there when I first moved to the OC).
