BAD, BAD, BAD

My husband and I are relatively patient people, but this place was a nightmare. I could go on forever, but here are a few key problems:
- The office staff is hardly ever the same. Even when you talked to someone yesterday, they will be gone today. That seemed to be changing a little when Chad came, but by then it was too late.
- The place is so loud. There are kids running around at all hours, cats fighting or mating or whatever they do, parties, and neighbors screaming at each other (at least weekly).
- Your complaints will hardly be listened to. Nothing is ever done about them.
- Our garage turned into a waterfall everytime it rained and mold was visible growing on the ceiling. Rain also turns the walkways into lakes.
- Speaking of mold, the bathrooms will grow mold on the ceiling if you don't clean them weekly.
- You hear every step your upstairs neighbor takes. You REALLY hear every stomp. And if you're lucky enough to have our upstairs neighbors, you will hear all the stomping of the 30 or so drunks partying until about 3 am. And then if you are still lucky enough to have our side neighbors, they will wake you up at dawn screaming at each other and slamming doors.
- We had a lizard living with us for the first couple of weeks. He wasn't ours.
- The carpet was so dirty and full of debris when we moved in it had to be replaced a month later. All of our stuff was thrown out into the walkway and then the blower guy came upstairs and blew all the debris onto our stuff. For this, the management offered us movie tickets. (We had a one month old baby at that time.)
- The apartment wasn't clean when we moved in. The carpet was bad, there were bootprints in our bathtubs and blood stains on the kitchen floor. For this, we were offered movie tickets also.
The maintenance staff was the only nice aspect. They tried to help when they could. Their hands were pretty much tied, though. Don't move in.
