NOT LUXURY LIVING AT ALL..

Dealing with the staff from this place is a nightmare! Does their property management company even know what professional courtesey IS'! When I first moved in, I was shown the wrong apartment, given the wrong mailbox number and keys, given the wrong entry code and told I was SOL if someone parked in my space (which new tenants often did because the office's parking maps are completely wrong).

The good thing is that this complex is pretty quiet and the floorplans are big and there is in-unit laundry...but thats where it ends.

With the high price, wed hoped for a professional staff -- WRONG! We were told on a number of occasions things like "if you dont like it here then move!" Appts.

for maintenance were promised and not kept, the security entry gate remained constantly open for months on end straight, leaking ceilings kept leaking, many outside path lights remained broken for more than a year, workorder requests were ignored if follow-up calls were not made, my mail was stolen, every appliance in our place broke in the one year we were there! The OC Register reported that this complex recently sold to new management for more money than any other OC complex had been sold for before.

The renters are now paying for that in rent increases...

It seems from all of the costly upgrades that the management is more focused on upgrading the look of the complex than catering to its tenants needs.

They remodeled the office and cut down the beautiful trees (which once made things very private) in order to paint the complex when it clearly did not need it.

Most recently, we discovered that this complex is located directly on top of an earthquake fault,and 3.5 nearly threw me out of bed! Due to our past experience at the Cascades, we are now much happier in our own home, which we own.

If we had to do it all over again, we would have gone straight to the mortgage lender instead of messing around with so-called luxury rentals!
