Honest Observations

Okay place to live. Not much insulation in the walls though. Windows and doors often leak in the cold air and you can hear your neighbors all too well. If someone is walking up the stairs you can hear all the loud steps and the walls shake. Your living room closet is built under the stairs and you can often hear the neighbors surround sound blaring from that side of the room. If you live on the street side, your bedroom is right up against the street and you can hear everything. Takes some time to get used to the noise. Back patio on the street side gets dirty from the street so I don't recommend you put anything nice out there. Maintenance is friendly but doesn't really "Fix" things right the first time. Would rather "Smooth things over" when it's obvious there is a problem. Have found centipedes and some other kind of creepy crawlers that have found their way into the apartment on several occasions. Mostly by the front door, but sometimes randomly in the other rooms too... Not very excited to see those. Ants also tend to find their way in through the wall outlets so you have to spray and constantally keep everything clean. Never found a roach though, THANK GOD! There is no dishwasher in my unit and it would be nice to have considering they raised the rent. Water and Gas is paid for which is very nice. Only one laundry room for the entire facility. Not the greatest floor layouts. Could reduce the size of the kitchens and make a walk in closet for the master bedroom. Very little closet space in the bedrooms... Feel a little cramped. Bathroom is VERY TINY and there is only one bathroom in every unit. Parking is not wonderful. The tenent gets one assigned spot, but if you have a guest over, trying to find parking can often be a challenge for them. Especially on Mondays due to street sweeping for if you have a guest or if you have a 2 bedroom apartment, but can't get a 2nd parking space, you either get a parking ticket or have to park far, far away the night before. There are not enough street signs that indicate you will get a parking ticket for street sweeping either, so if you park on Omega, around the corner and walk down the long street and you dont see the ONE sign for the entire block, then you end up with a parking ticket if it is a Monday and that can become costly and discouraging. But over all it is an okay place to live for the money, but I wouldn't run and tell my best friend to move in here though.
