On first glance this apartment complex seems pretty nice. The landscaping is nice, but hearing leafblowers 3 or 4 times a week before 10am is a definite drawback. Parking has been a pain since we first moved in. My spot was consistently taken the first two weeks of living there, and there's never room for the second car. The gated parking is supposedly for residents only, but there's almost always a car or two waiting for someone to open the gate so they can sneak in. The neighbors are loud and often obnoxious, kids'll be running around screaming until 10pm or later nearly every night, and police helicopters or cruisers come by at least once a night. Many of the tenants are shady and I've heard of numerous robberies and even an attempted murder or two. The apartment seemed nice enough before I moved in, but the old paint was merely covered up with a new coat, causing the new stuff to flake off and look uneven. There are countless nail holes and gouges in the walls that have been half-assedly covered up. The cheap tile-looking linoleum on the kitchen and bathroom floors was improperly installed, and is starting to come off already.

The benefits of living here are the shade the trees provide, which helps to keep the apartment cool in the summer, and the spacious balcony. The girls in the office are fairly nice, but they don't have any explanation for why the water is shut off two or three times a month. This apartment complex labels itself as "Luxury Apartment Homes" and charges accordingly, but really isn't worth it. It suits all my needs, but little else. I don't intend to renew my year lease when it expires.
