For the love of god, don t live here. I was only here for two months in early 2007, before I was rescued by another job in another city and I had to move. I will start by saying that the size of the place was decent...and, well that s about the only good thing. And I am not a deadbeat. I make good money, pay my rent on time, and am a good tenant. Unfortunately that courtesy was not returned by the Wateridge staff.

We got off to a great start with the staff lying to me about the apartments. They showed me an upstairs apartment. I thought it was okay and asked about downstairs. They said "they are exactly the same, but cost much more". After I moved in to an upstairs one, I noticed that the downstairs apartments have a small yard attached to the back. Knowing that I had a dog, they apparently didn t think this was a material difference, and told me they were exactly the same. When one has a yard and one doesn't, that is a difference.

Now with my move-in experience. I showed up at 12:55pm on a Saturday, after being told that I did not need an appointment, and that people would be there. Apparently this was a lie. At 12:55, the office was locked, with a sign saying "back at 2pm". At 2;10pm, the two leasing consultants returned, after taking an extra-long lunch together, and leaving the office completely unattended for over an hour on a Saturday afternoon. Absolutely unacceptable. Not to mention I was jerked around for over a month before we came to an unacceptable remedy, but I was told that was all that could be done. Two days free and a $50 certificate. Wow, thanks guys.

The location and demographic also proved to be terrible. Its not close to anything except a warehouse with barbed wire fencing on the parking lot. Also, if you love being around ------- families with kids running around yelling in ------- at all hours, you ll love this place. I believe I also was privy to a drug deal in the laundry room one evening. Lets just say I ran the other way.

And last but not least, the security deposit. I had my apartment professionally cleaned before I left. The carpets were cleaned, the walls were patched up, and I vacuumed again after everything was gone. And they still decided to take out over $200 for carpet cleaning, wall touch up and general cleaning. But that s not needed! Stanley Steemer was there and did an excellent job cleaning the carpets, but ---- -----, the manager, still decided to take money out for carpet cleaning. Again, getting nickeled and dimed to death but a crappy corporate complex. So please, PLEASE do not live here, unless you want to suffer the same crappy service and subpar living situation as I did. For $1125 a month, I would expect a place to be livable. Apparently I was wrong.

Sounds like other tenants who had good jobs found this place also unacceptable.

I work at Anahiem Stadium and manage all the liquor at a restaurant. I have a mgmt degree. After ballgames or just a day off, this place wakes me up 40% of the time I"m asleep. That's a bit much for me. The place does look nice but the noise, dogs, parking is a constant juggling act. I ride a motorcycle but hardly see parking for tenants with cars.
