Noise:
Dogs constantly bark, especially on weekends and holidays when the owners leave and their devils are home alone. Complaints to Mgmt/Police will do little good.

Area:
Main street (Ball Road is very busy and has 7 parking spaces. Side street has proven thefts. The city's police dept has put up signs on neighborhood apts but Water Ridge doesn't allow the warning sign. WR prob want to appear safe when many of it's residents have their stuff vandalised. My property was damaged as well as 2 of my neighbors).

Facilities:
The grounds look great. They have (2) pools and gas BBQ pits. They are out of commission 1/4 the time because of damage/vandalism/foreign objects thrown in them.

Comparing Rent:
The rent is ok the first year but mgmt is agressively increasing rent. I'm actually own a rental property and see WR entice with 1st year good deal, after $225 increase per month there after. They make great $$$ on the pets. Each pet is $50 extra PER MONTH. Stupid renters here have (2) small dogs and pay $1200 each year just to have a dog.

--------- is the Ass't mgr and is uneducated and projects an attitude that you are bothering her. She is not knowledgable about contracts and will easily make promises and deny they were official.

My job at a nearby hospital is the only reason I don't go thru the trouble of moving. This complex and it's employees have cause much problems for me and the person I live with.

As for the noise, you can't hear anything they mention in this except the occasional dog barking, but seriously if you want perfect silence, go live on the moon. Second, yes there are thefts, this is California. I would think you people would be used to that by now. No matter where you go in California there are going to be thefts, it sucks, but it's a fact of life here. And the police can't be everywhere at once. Thirdly the animals cost $35 per month and that's a common thing with apartments now. And lastly, yes the Assistant manager is a ding bat, but if you deal with the guy in charge, like I do, you'll have no problems. No matter where you go there are going to be dumb people on top, you've just go to learn how to go around them.

This is more in response to Codehacker2003: Yeah noise is everywhere I agree, can't really do much about that. But the crime is pretty bad here and management does not really keep up with stopping it. The car gate has broken several times and there is one walk-through gate that I don't think has ever been fixed. People who want to vandalize or break into cars can just walk right in. And I DO deal with the "guy in charge" he is the worst of all! He tells you one thing then tells you another thing the next day, you never know what to expect from him. And at one point I tried to "go around him" we called HIS boss (several times) and he never answered or returned our calls despite the messages we left and the severity of the problem (let's just say it was so bad, if were the other way around we would be kicked out of our apartment-they owed us money big time). Despite the fact that most places you go you will have problems, and yes you have to learn how to deal with it (you're right-that's life), there is only SO much that you should have to take. I've even fixed some broken items in our apartment because they never got around to it. give me a break.

I'm curious about the people who write good reviews about Water Ridge. How many times do you get good service and put in a good review? Unlikely. It's more likely that the complaints are real and the only recourse these tenants have is to vent here on this forum. I trust the complaints because the issues are consistant (noise, mgmt, thefts) and it's more likely/probable writers actively seek out places like this site to write reviews than people who have positive things to say.

Wow. These things are very truth and after a year these reviews have not changed. I like the lady with the big knockers but she doesn't work often (don't blame her, not the brightest). I'm not a great tenant but there are plenty of very bad tenants that live here with their big and noisy dogs. That's the sad part, people worst than me. Would move if I could.
