I've lived here for about 6 months. This complex is overall quiet, attractive and being a young woman I felt reasonably safe here. The only problem that I really had was the parking. IT SUCKS!!!! 2 bedroom apartments are only assigned one space, so my roommate and I are always fighting for it. There have been many times where I would come home and either have to leave and stay at my parents house (which is 25 minutes away) or wait in the parking lot for over 30 minutes for someone to leave. You might be thinking that you can simply park outside of the parking lot - but trust me that is not a possibility because there is NEVER any parking out there and for me its just unsafe to walk in the dark alone.

Management acts like they have all these rules about the parking but they never follow them. I think it sucks that I pay rent and cannot stay at my apartment because there is no where to park. I see cars in the guest lot that are there 24/7. The parking lot should NOT be used as a place to store your extra car.

The parking space is not uncommon for inner city. However I do have to say that there are secondary parking issues that make WR a bad place: 1. street parking is only limited to the 5 spots on the front of the property and the largest # of street parking is shared with the ghetto apartment next door. 2. The side street is in a very secluded area with little survilence (windows looking out at street) so it's prime for thieves to break into cars without people seeing. 3. The constant vandalism and thefts are the most I've ever experienced at any apartment complex. This is not a bad part of town. It's the best one on the south side of Ball road. 4. The Police Dept knows of the crimes because they post up notices warning to keep valuables out of sight. WRidge is bad because they actively conceal these notices by taking them down from the trees and mailboxes. 5. Mgmt is so overwhelmed with the thefts, their stance now is more of "oh well". My car was broken into on property and I asked mgmt to assign me a new spot asap (I already asked them prior to burgerly because of fears). They responded with my contract saying they are not liable. Stupid--------------------------- I never blamed you...just get me to a new spot. No response. Overall the parking/thefts are stacked against the renters here. These thefts apparently been happening many years now.

Check out the place in at night, after dinner. You'll see how back the parking is. Becareful if you tour the place at night because your car maybe broken into.....if you can find parking.
