I am none amending this that I wrote about the mold recently. Since the mold I have been taken care of by the Arbor's and Wendee the manager. The placed us into a different unit, gave us plenty of time to transition into the different unit.My little girl is much better now and has been every since we got out of the old unit. Arbors did do a great job with this issue and I have a better place, one with a driveway and a lot nicer area.

I am not a new resident any longer( been here almost a year) but now I have new issues MOLD,MILDEW,BLEACH TREATMENTS,ROTTEN WALLS, WINDOW FRAMES ROTTEN asked for a different unit but they just offered me out of my lease instead but I can not afford to move. So I thought I would post the mold photos and the hole that cracked open on my wall (due to it being rotten). They say they are going to start repairs on Monday. I think that will cause more hazards and that we should be allowed to move into a clean, mold free unit like we asked too so we can avoid all these risks to our health and child but when I ask they always tell me feel free to move out of the Arbors and that I can break my lease free of fines and charges. We have no money to move out of the Arbors and have no choice but to stay so at least they could do is give us a better mold free clean place to live I even offered to pay more rent for a better place. We have to do something, my little girl is at risk.

I am a new resident here at the Arbors and I am already (starting to hate it here) after only being here since the 16 of April 2008. So far we have had to call and call and call, then email the office to get things fixed that was wrong when we moved and told them even then. Finally a fix it person came when we didn't have an appointment. Our recycle can that was full of various trash that isn't considered recycle can things so the recycle people didn't empty it, left us a note on the can saying we are going to be charged for it to be emptied so we notified the office and they picked the can up and never brought it back! So the whole time we have lived here we have not had a recycle can.

It is very hot out today so we turned on our cooler for the first time and it is so loud it scares out little baby daughter (she is 20 months old today) and it doesn't cool everywhere only in the hallways and living room. So here I sit with my daughter in our bedroom while I write this review burning up with the heat and burning mad as well.

I hate the way they promote the Arbors as "a gated community" and we pay top dollar to live here and have the so called amenities but you can not even swim after dark when it is still early. I just read my contract that I signed for a year (bad mistake) and tried to look for things about the gated community but the happen to just leave all that part out.

The things that I did find was a whole lot of scary paperwork about lead paint here and other toxic things we were not told of up front. I doubt anyone that has ever moved here took the time (while signing the lease to read through it completely due to the fact that it is so long and everyone is waiting for you to sign on all the places. So now we are stuck here for a whole year and are fearful for our home being robbed and our health being ruined from the toxic things in our home.

And as if that is not enough yesterday we came home to find a letter on our door saying we need to remove all items from our backyard area including hoses and plants front and back and the service area for the roofers to roof our house and our carport. They stated that during this time they will have to disconnect our cable and phone for up to 5 days! When we moved in here we told the office we were planting a garden and we did and there is not anyway possible to remove a garden temporary or protect it from the falling roof particles it stated would be falling during the process. We are on a budget and can't afford to replant or replace any plants that may be damaged but the office said in the letter that it is 100 % our problem is anything is damaged. Furthermore it also said that our belongings in our storage area in the carport also has to be covered or moved due to the fact that they are also replacing the roof on the carport and our belongings will be exposed! What the hell I can not believe it! Who has time to cover, move and protect things' The rent is so high that people that live here have to WORK! I think the roofers should be made to be more responsible for what they do and do not do. We should all ban together about the gated community issue cause they don't guard properly and those having the roof replaced and have had the roof replaced and has issues should get together and do something about this! I would of never moved here if I knew what I know now!

BRAVO.. I too am a newly residents and if I knew the front yard was for everyone to play in, then I wouldn't wasn't my money to by weed and feed to get the lawn green, which it look like hell before I moved in. Then I have very RUDE neighbors who don't RESPECT other property. What are sidewalks for???? I was raise to walk on them and not on lawns......Let's take a short cut and cross over the grass! These are what kind of people who lives in this community. Oh quiet neighbor, that's sure is right, when you have the sheriff down the street investigating a shooting at the same time you have a fire in the field. Yes it's QUIET alright. What about the speed limit posted sign says 20, lets see how fast we can drive down Navaho Drive blasting our music while kids play basketball on the main street when there is a court and field for them to play in. No the streets are safe let's play in middle of them! Yes and I too have to be stuck here for a year... Gosh forbid that I have to work the Grave Yard shift, then sleeping in the day is like sitting next to a football field while playing. Maintenance and there mowing the lawns or like you said roof repairing. I thought 8 am was time for the work shift, no they rather start a little earlier around 7 sometimes. I can go on with a story with the negatives, but just to damn tired call lack of sleep. All I have to add is READ YOUR CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING..... Have a Bless day......:>)

I have lived here for four years, and thankfully will be moving out soon. Let's see, where to start, so many complaints. First, I lived in the back section of the complex where I had the pleasure of "nicely" asking Mr. neighborhood drug dealer if he would please move his car out of my parking space. Then I had neighbors from hell. There were about, oh 10-11 of them (none spoke english) living in one little 3 bedroom duplex. I would come home to find the men outside on the grass area which is right next to my children's window, drinking beer and urinating in my bushes. And the fact that they call this a gated community is the biggest joke of all. The guards will let anyone in, I mean anyone. They do not ask for identification, you just smile and wave and they'll let you in. AND, I can't believe no one else has experienced this problem, peeping toms! All the bedroom windows open up to a common, none fenced in area. Just last night, at about 11:30, I could hear someone walking right by my bedroom window, they just stopped there. I was scared out of my mind, and this is not the first time it has happened. The last time I went to the office and complained and asked that they put the incident in their newsletter to make people aware of what's going on so they can be safe, especially the single woman who live here, anyway, they didn't. My children refuse to go outside. Even my 10 year old hates it here, and my daughter who is 17, decided to live with her father instead of having to live here. Can't say that I blame her, I caught a teenage boy lurking around her bedroom window a few months ago and chased him away.

WoW! I am so shocked to hear these complaints! I have a family friend who has lived here for a little over 6yrs. And all the time I have been over her house the only 2 things I have heard her talk about in a negative way was there was a pervert who used to live around the corner from her house, and her neighbors sucked. I do also agree with the comments about the guard shack. It didn't used to be like that at all. Just about a year ago anyone coming through the gate had to have an invitation, and had to show ID. Good luck to you all...

I saw that you said your roof was done. I just wanted to tell you that the roofing project was basically shut down by the Sac AIr Quality District because of the bad air it is creating. People out here have been very sick because of all the roofs being done. They have been doing all the roofs with asphalt roofing tar for over two years and still have one year left. The US Environmental Protection Agency has a project called TASC and they are paying environmental engineers and scientists to compile info about the roofing project so that we can get our local government to force them to stop poisening us. Check out my website to find out how dangerous this stuff is at www.myspace.com/nomoretarroofs. So far I have the US EPA, the Sierra Club, The American Lung Association and possibly the American Cancer Society endorsing me. The media won't cover it but this is a serious problem and we might even have a lawyer soon for the whole community. I also have a petition but I need help getting signatures. Send me a note on my myspace page to volunteer.

OMG! I agree with you 100% and it isn't just those things but many, many more. I know someone that had mold all over their home and it made their baby sick but they at first didn't do anything about it until they got legal help. Also now there is going to be tar roofing with TOXIC FUMES we will be forced to smell and become ill from (scheduled to start in Spring 2009 and go on a entire YEAR. If you want to discuss these and other issue with the Arbors you should go to (and invite any & everyone) to a public meeting regarding the toxic fumes and issue & report presentation will be made to community members at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, at the Center High School theater room, 3111 Center Court Lane in Antelope. Go read about it all & sign petition thank you! Related Web sites: www.myspace.com/nomoretarroofs www.thepetitionsite.com/1/nomoretarroofs

that mold was caused by the way you live, I can tell in the pictures. VENTILATE your apt and homes. Mold spores exist everywhere and need moisture and humidity to grow. stop being afraid and CLEAN your apartment. x-14 is a good product for cleaning it.
