Arbors Wendee Campbell Manager and Gabe Liberman and all the rental associates advertise that this is a "closed & secure gated community" and it is anything but. The side gate has never been closed since I moved here 3 years ago. And the front gate that looks like it will have guards does not. There has not been a guard in the guard shack since New Years Eve, not that it really mattered cause the guards (when they had them) just wave EVERYONE & ANYONE through. So is it legal to advertise it as a safe and gated community when it has no guards or gates' I am looking into getting some legal advice about maybe suing for false advertisement and fraud. If you agree please leave a comment and maybe your email address so we can possibly sue together. Oh and by the way it is illegal for the managers here or anywhere to threaten the tenants for writing comments and reviews or for filing a lawsuit against them, it is in the handbook for Tenants rights if you want to look it up. It is 2009 and I think change is what is happening and people should start taking their rights and making big slumlords do what they advertise and say they do. My wife, children and I deserve better we work hard and pay or bills (rent) we should get what they advertised, don't you think so'

Come to the pubic meeting on Wednesday Jan 28th 6:30 pm at Center High Schools Theater room. I'm sure you will find others that feel the same. The topic is the asphalt roofing tar that has been making residents sick. But you might make some friends in the process. I've heard all the same comments from residents as I walk around. OMG! I agree with you 100% and it isn't just those things but many, many more. I know someone that had mold all over their home and it made their baby sick but they at first didn't do anything about it until they got legal help. Also now there is going to be tar roofing with TOXIC FUMES we will be forced to smell and become ill from (scheduled to start in Spring 2009 and go on a entire YEAR. If you want to discuss these and other issue with the Arbors you should go to (and invite any & everyone) to a public meeting regarding the toxic fumes and issue & report presentation will be made to community members at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, at the Center High School theater room, 3111 Center Court Lane in Antelope. I have lived at the Arbors for the last 2 yrs and have found that the management and staff have always been very accomodating. I work two jobs to support my family in this declining economy, and it really disgusts me that our "sue" happy society is always looking for a secondary gain. I certainly have not instilled this into my children and I feel that if we all took responsibility for our actions, our world would be a better place. I enjoy living at the Arbors and am grateful that they are doing all the can to make it a better place. Many of us here, dispite your allegations, actually enjoy living here....If you don't like it, then get out!
