I have paid me rent on time since I started my lease. I told them I need a place to stay until I find a house to buy. They told me it would not be a problem. If I break my lease all I had to do is find a tenant to live there within 2 weeks and I would not have to pay any fees. Well the time came for me to move out I found a house. I also only had on month left on my lease. Thank goodness for that because, for the 11 months I lived there I had to deal with a car brake in, security guards caught sleeping in there car, ants and other insect problems and Loud and rude neighbors who don't even speak English. Finally the time came for me to move. I gave them 30 day notice and cleaned the apartment even better than I received it. The girl in the office said it wouldn't be a problem thank you for being a good tenant. A week later after I moved out, new tenants moved in. I thought I was in the clear. I called them on the phone and finally they picked up the phone (after several attempts and messages left) to make sure every thing was fine. Then they told me my account might have gone into collections. But I can bring the balance down to zero if I pay them a month and a half rent. I was very upset but I said o.k. as long as it doesn't hit me credit. She responsed saying if it did we will have them remove it, we are sorry for the misunderstanding. I take an hour from my lunch brake to go down there just to have her say sorry but we already sent it over to collections. And she can't help me remove it from my record, but she can bring the balance to zero for me if I pay her now. I reminded her of what she told me on the phone earlier about her helping me fix this problem. She glance at her co-workers and said "I don't know what you are talking about but my manger will says no". I then reminded her about the verbal agreement we have had from the start and I would not be in this mess if they would have told me to stay one more month from the start. She responsed with "Sorry I guess that??s one conversation you should of got in writing" I asked for any number to corporate so I can call to get some help since she didn't have the authority to help me. She said I don't know the number to my boss or the corporate name (with a smile), call us later and we will have it for you I called two hours later, and then guess what' They are not picking up the phone....again. I couldn't believe this was happening after all the time I lived in that beat up apartment with cold water some days or until maintenance gets to it. I have also been over run by ants and other insect so bad I had to put everything from suger to jiffy corn bread mix in me frig to avoid them. Not once I treated to not pay rent or not pay the full balance of rent. And this is the treatment I get talk about low customer service. They mess up my credit and want me to pay them cash for doing it. Don't get me wrong they do have there benifits also. They have cheap rent and they have a lot of room to move people in quick. So if your broke and desperate this is the place to be.
