Wow...the review before mine is ridiculous! I have lived at Cambridge Village for years and have had nothing but pleasant experiences with the management AND my apartments. I have lived in a one bedroom AND a two bedroom and have felt that (aside from a rather small living room in the 2 bedroom)the floor plans were perfectly adequate for an apartment.

You say that nothing has been updated since the 80's' The apartments weren't even built in the 80's. If you want brand new appliances and flooring, I suggest you rent an apartment at a brand new apartment complex as opposed to bitching and complaining.

The issues with the size of the rooms, the size of the shower and the fact that you broke the toilet seat within a month leads me to believe that you (even though short) are too fat and should seriously consider a diet.

If the kitchen sink emits a foul smell, I suggest you clean better. I can't possibly see how cleaning is the Management's fault.

The kitchens are very nice (again, for an apartment) with light oak cabinets and I have never had a problem with the integrity of the shelves.

If you didn't like the layout and/or the size of the rooms, why in the name of all that is holy did you rent here'

As far as the pet deposit/rent goes, you must have moved from a VERY small town in the middle of no where. If you have been anywhere other than under a rock for the past several years, you would KNOW that pet deposits and/or pet rent are standard practices. And being a pet owner, I can assure you and anyone else reading this that a $300 fully refundable deposit and $25/month pet rent is ANYTHING but outrageous.

Let me reiterate, the Management of this complex (-------) is great. She has been on the property for years so knows it like the back of her hand. I have had a few run ins with her, but she has always treated me in a manner that is fair and appropriate.

The maintenance staff has undergone several changes since I have been here. It only stands to reason and is expected that when you are down from three to one guy for over 300 apartments, your work orders MAY take just a bit longer than normal. In most cases, my work orders have been completed in 24 hours or less.

Noise...are you kidding me' The previous reviewer is complaining that he/she can hear neighbors' It's an apartment complex...you ARE going to hear your neighbors. The great thing about Cambridge is that they have a courtesy patrol that will come out and take care of parties in the middle of the night if they happen to occur.

The grounds are gorgeous! The pools are resort quality and always sparkling clean.

It seems to me that the writer of the previous review is suffering from a severe case of sour grapes. I have no idea what YOUR problem is but I think it's horrible the way you feel the neccessity to slam the property and the Management. Shame on you!

You're extremely defensive of this apartment complex and you responded so quickly to this negative review that you've made it 100% clear that you're management (or a friend of theirs) just posing as a "satisfied tenant." Good job being so obvious, but living in a fantasy world is not exactly the best strategy for attracting new tenants. I don't want to get in your guys' argument, but it really does look like the review before yours is the more credible one.
