Candy Coated Crap

When I first moved in it was about midday and I was shown a nice apartment. It looked good, and I heard no noise from the neighbor at the time. Probably because they were at work. But my first night in the apartment changed everything I had ever hoped for this place.
My neighbor promptly stomped over to her television and began to watch it at a very loud volume. So loud that I had to complain, more than a number of times. The management did nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing to solve the problem. In fact they told the neighbor it was I who complained and she told me that she was sorry for the noise. This was dangerous because now she knows that it was me complaining and had it in for me. She would constantly turn her tv up real loud for seconds at a time so I could not complain. Then when another neighbor complained about her tv she came to me and was angry that I told on her again, but it wasn't me.
But I wish the loud neighbor who stomps like a hippo throughout her apartment and uses the shower (which I can hear) at 2am in the morning was my only problem. I am so tired of trying to go to sleep at around 11 in order to get up and go to work at 6am and being constantly woken up by hearing normal chatter through my paper thin walls. I can hear my neighbor snore above me, and I can hear car doors slamming outside, bass from "impressive" stereos in cars, people just standing outside talking at very late hours.
The bottom line is this is not a place to live if you are looking for peace and quiet. Even if you show them the contract that has not one, but two rules about quiet enjoyment (which is a real law) they will still not accommodate you.
There are a mountain of other problems I have with this place, but if you read some of the other reviews you will hopefully pick up how vindictive the management is. I don't want to be too detailed in my complaint because I don't want them to charge me an arm and a leg when I move out, which I assure you won't be soon enough.
The British/Australian (not sure) is pretty cool though, I like him. He should be running this place, a very helpful person.

The management is absolutely horrible. They are rude and completely inconsiderate. Not to mention ignorant. They treated us horribly for no reason at all. We kept our place in perfect condition and received no deposit back. NOt to mention, charged us $800 in moveout fees. Took them to small claims over this. Don't rent from them-they rip people off.

Unbelieveable people. The Springs has always served people when there are noise complaints. I know this cause I was served one a while back. Regardless of what you think noise is what comes with apartment living. If you can't handle that then get a house. I have lived in Apartments for years. About 4 different ones from around this area. Same thing with all the apartments I've lived in. Noise....The Management at The Springs is professional and outstanding. Just yesterday they had coffee and danishes at both entrances for the residents. Events are thrown for the residents and their children all the time. Movie Nights, etc...they try to accomadate everyone. I know from experience if you owe money when you move out, it's because you owe money when you move out. Why is it that no one has something to say unless they get upset. There are plenty of good things to say about The Springs.

The amount of posts made by members of the staff is astronomical and blatantly obvious. You defend them by saying they have free coffee and danishes and yet we are subjected to hearing our neighbors grunt while they poop. That is a great trade off. I have lived in apartment my whole life. Guess what?! You are not the only one who has lived in a number of different ones. Yet this is the only complex where you see cockroaches running around in perfectly clean apartments (after they have been sprayed by the "bug guy"), and also the only place I have lived in that I can hear every step a neighbor takes, every time they run the dishwasher, washer machine, shower, and turn on a sink. The noise is unexcused. And I know for a fact they do not do anything about the noise because there is nothing you can do about the noise short of rebuilding the apartments. But then maybe that is why the overcharge people when they move out.

I hope most people reading these screes can detect the obvious neurotic patterns. No, I'm certainly not a "member of the staff." Thank God I don't have to deal with people like these negative reviewers! (Yes, the staff *does* act on noise complaints and tries to verify them with the other neighbors so they can determine if it's "personal.") I have to shake my head in disbelief that we even live in the same The Springs. I've never seen a big bug or been bothered by normal-noise-level activities from my enclosing neighbors, and I'm a bit picky. The loud stuff does get dealt with, believe me.

Further, speaking as someone who has a lot of interaction with Jackie Gorman, I have to say that a good number of the Springs defenders here write in a style exactly like hers.
