Yuck. If you read no further, for your own good, do NOT consider the Springs even for temporary housing. I am a doctor from Houston who works for a major US oil company, around the corner on Ming Ave, who unfortunately landed on the Springs. I spent three months there. Living Conditions: 80's decor, cheap, crappy fixtures, overall junk for >1000$/month. There was only one lock on the door and the door-handle was loose at move-in. Safety: Many times over the 90 days that I lived there I noticed conspicuous (homeless) and dangerous (thug-looking) people roaming around. A few times in the middle of the night, someone came up to my window (which my bed was near) and tried to open the window! When I reported this to the main office -- they did nothing and did not respond to me. Also and most importantly, there was a shooting 30 feet from my apartment door of a police officer in March! If you are looking for tidy, decent, safe accommodations for your stay in Bakersfield skip the Springs! Also, for the short amount of time that I was there (<3 months) they refused to give me my security deposit back. The house was in exactly the same conditions as at move-in, but they charged me $445 for cleanup when my security deposit was $500. The front-office of the Springs is full of idiots/cheaters who are illiterate. Jackie, the complex manager, has to be the stupidest and rudest super that I have ever come across. Main point: DO NOT CHOOSE THE SPRINGS -- FILTHY, DANGEROUS, and front office full of CHEATERS.

Wow, somebody's got a problem. Hope they feel better after getting this off their chest. Most of "his" complaints are out of control of any complex. I'd ask: if the place was so bad - every single checkbox is low, why did they choose to move in? Seems like his attitude would've poisoned any management's response to him. Obviously cranky individual venting spleen passive-aggressively? You decide...

I agree with the Dr. Plenty of times I didn't want to take my trash out because of all th homeless people digging through it. Also, the managment is very rude!!!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone! As far as the deposits go 4 couples I know got charged $2000 on top of their security deposits. Two of them hired professonal cleaners to come in before they moved out. They will take your money!!!
