We very much enjoyed our experience at the
Barstonian. The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and had nice carpet. The location is perfect because it's just on the outskirts of Barstow in a safe location. It is one of the few gated communities in Barstow and therefore wards off criminal opportunists. The landscaping is the best of all the apartments with beautiful, well-manicured lawns, lots of full-grown trees and shrubs, and is well-lighted. Nice, clean pool. Maintenance always prompt, professional, and friendly. Office staff is sincerely kind, helpful, professional, and courteous in every way and make themselves readily available throughout the week. Allowed pets with a reasonable security deposit, also a rarity in Barstow.

And for the record, the lady that wrote the negative report, dated 4/12/2003, well maybe she was working with a different staff as that was before we got there. But, honestly, this is the best complex in Barstow and we were kinda sad to leave because we felt treated so well and we enjoyed the environment. So I believe her expectations were largely unreasonable. Anyone who thinks they can do better than the Barstonian probably needs to be looking in Lake Tahoe or Palm Springs! The Barstonian has excelled above and beyond its would be competitors. Would recommend first to anyone headed into Barstow, and trust me, we looked EVERYWHERE else!
