I recently moved into these apartments and the reviews on here must be a mistake. The apartments are well maintained & the office staff is very nice and professional.
I have been here for about a month and I have only had one problem(the AC wasn't working)but it was quickly taken care of by the property maintenance.

Safety is a big concern for me & my family & I could say that I do feel safe here, the gate closes daily at around 4 or 5pm and I noticed that the fencing around the complex is being raised higher, clearly changes are being made for the better & I do recommend these apartments to friends & family.

unfortunately, I live in the complex down the street from Virginia Village... and from main street all you see is a lot of activity and big crouds of people "hanging out" they almost look like they are just standing there waiting for people to buy drugs... and I can't help but notice that every time I drive buy I get a stare down... and they always have a habbit of crossing the street right in front of your car without concern that they could be hit.. they take their time too... But that's just what I witness every day...

My sister was living here and she just moved out because of the shooting that take place next door at the VT's. She had small children and she was not able to let them play outside in fear of them getting shot. And I know that was the reason the previous manager quit, because of the shootings. She was only manager for less then 6 months and she had to deal with 3 shootings that I know of, and a break-in to the office also. My sister lived there for almost two years and after the second time of here car window getting broken, she had had enough. She also incountered seveal different tire slashings and her apartment was broken into. And Paul Calvo and CO. did nothing to help her. She had to beg for a security light to be put in above her stpes so she wouldn't trip going up them at night, and she ended up buying and putting up her own light because they wouldn't do it. Oh and for the A/C's, good luck, they will break down often, all they do to repair it is put a "bandaid" on it, it doesn't solve the problem, just delays it. But wait till you get your electric bill then you'll see how good they "solved the problem". I guess if you live on the otherside of the complex, not next to the VT's, then it might be better, I guess thats why the manager lives on that side. Good luck to all that live there and hopefully you make it to see another day.
