Why do good managers leave'

We had a very nice young woman named Zee who was the most friendliest and caring Manager we had in a long time. She truly cared about us and what the property looked like. She left because she could not ethically deal with the lack of improvements to the property and the fact that the Property Management company did not back her. Why is it, when we have have someone great, who truly cares, we lose them because of the owners and/or the Management company.
