I would have written a much nicer review had this place not be misrepresented to us when we rented it in March. We were told by the manager at the time that this place is very QUIET. We spent a lot of time at home so this was a number one priority for us which is why we signed the lease here. Since April there has been non-stop construction at this place. Construction workers use the chain saw to cut marble tiles right here in front of our windows and next to our apartment wall all the time as well as use the very loud sledgehammer starting at 8:30AM.
This company uses deceitful business practices, I do not recommend anyone rent from them - who knows what else will they lie about next. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai

Thank you for your comments about Belmont Terrace. Although the constuction noise has been disturbing, we are making every effort to improve the building. We have made great changes to the pool and sundeck, remodeled the hallways and laundry rooms and have additional plans to upgrade our elevator cabs and repainting of the exterior of the building. I wish we could have made these repairs without making any noise but just isn't possible. I hope that you continue to call Belmont Terrace your home and hope you can enjoy the modifications we have made to the building.
Thank you.

Shawnee, it's nice of you to respond, but you are missing the point. Everyone understands that you cannot have construction without noise. What is an issue is that the plans for upcoming prolonged construction should have been disclosed to prospective tenants who came expressly looking for a quiet place. Failure to do so amounts essentially to misrepresenting your product.
It is entirely possible that the building managers were not aware
of this problem, but then it merely shifts the blame to the
corporate. One can hardly be expected to believe that a PUBLICLY
TRADED COMPANY does not make plans, schedules, budget, etc.
and that nobody knows in March that the construction will take place
over the summer.
Given that, a proper response is to offer rent reduction, because
the value of the apartment is significantly reduced during the
hours of the construction.
