I'm a current renter who gave notice and can confirm all that was said. Essex does not care about the tenants, nor do they give us any notice of changes or construction (maybe we get one days notice). The corporation's impression to us all here is, we own you and we do what we want, so get lost. Essex has this reputation for profit only, high rents, and if you don't like it...leave. It's not the managers, it is the company. What other apt building does this and raises rents this high and makes you pay for everything. They pay nothing, no cable, no water, nothing. Amazing.
