Convenient, clean and distinctive

El Dorado, though an older building, is comfortable and clean. The units were originally built as condos, so they are spacious and contain washer/dryers in the units. Mine has a fireplace and a lovely deck.
That said, it's an older building so there are maintenance problems. There are also noise problems if you are on the lower floors-the ceilings and floors seem to carry a lot of noise. Twelve foot ceilings add to the drama of the interior, and glass walls let in lots of light, however, lots of glass adds to your heating bills and also your need to keep the blinds drawn in the summer (no air conditioning).
Appliances when you move in will all be new. Mine are GE and I love my stove. There was no microwave in mine, so I went to Target and got one for $79.00.
There is extra storage on the first floor, something my old landlord charged extra for.
My car has been messed with in the parking lot, which offers only covered stalls for the residents. The Management does reserve more than usual spaces for itself, and somewhat rudely displays a sign on the doors that says "No Guest Parking...You will be Towed!".
The elevators are very slow, which led to a shock when paying movers...it adds a lot to the bill.
Management is generally pretty good, as they are part owners of the building. If you work with them, they work with you. They have some tenants here who have been here 30 years or more.
