As the other reviewer said, the management for Hutton Terrace is hard to deal. She generally seems unwilling to fix, let alone improve, things that go wrong in the apartment. The carpets weren't cleaned nor was any of the apartment painted before I moved it. I can't speak for the condition of carpet in other units, but the carpet in my 2br is in terrible condition and totally matted - probably needs to be replaced more than cleaned. The fixtures are old and in many cases not working 100% of the time. The vent/hood over my stove has been broken for 9 months and the manager has promised several times to have it replaced. Every time I ask her about it say makes up a lame excuse ("oh, didn't the repair people call you to schedule an appointment'"). Lately things have gotten worse because we are paying $200 above the rent she is charging for people moving in, but she refuses to adjust our rent. I don't think the manager understands that she should at least try to facilitate a comfortable and enjoyable living environment.

The strange thing is that the manager's apartment (directly below me) is one of the loudest. I routinely hear her boyfriend playing music at high volume, not to mention that he smokes right underneight my bedroom window.

Basically its not as nice as it sounds - the apartments have electrical problems and are generally not very well kept between tenants. Don't rent here.
