It's not that these apartments are horrible, it's that they are about $500/month more expensive than they are worth.

The parking lot is reasonably clean, and the grounds are kept manicured. But the building is old and there is much maintenance and restructuring that needs to be done: the trash rooms smell of urine and old trash, the trash shoots are tiny and often clogged, the electricity is iffy and exterior lights frequently burn out, parking is a mess, etc.

There is no automatic fire-prevention sprinkler system in the apartments; a small fire would turn this place into an inferno.

The staff is friendly enough, but the manager is a jerk. Beware.

There tend to be ghetto people living here: occasional hookers, loud arguments, loud cars.

Basically, if a 2 bedroom apartment was $1000/month, you'd be getting your money's worth. But these aren't, and you aren't.
