I am so surprised at all of the negative reviews. I moved into a 2 bed 1 bath apartment with my boyfriend about a year ago and I absolutely love it. It is quiet and maintenance requests are always completed in a timely manner. Our apartment had new carpets and appliances, and freshly painted walls when we moved in. We also got the first month's rent for free. Like the post below, we were also offered to renew our lease at the same rent or have it go up by $100 each month on a month-to-month lease, but WE KNEW THEY DID THIS WHEN WE MOVED IN. We were pleasantly surprised when they offered us to keep our washer and dryer for free this whole next year if we sign another 12 month lease (which is normally $30 per month). The location is great, we can see the water from our complex. There is a jacuzzi right outside our apartment so it feels like our own private hot spring. My only complaint is that we also had a problem with cigarette smoke, but it came through the microwave vent into our upstairs apartment. Then the economic downturn happened, and the people below us quit smoking (I would have, too, because money is hard to come by these days). I think the rent prices here are very reasonable- if you go over to sterling apartments everything costs at least $100 more per month. I love this complex and Benicia is such a charming town by the bay- I am so glad to sign another lease.

Amen! It definetly is a great complex (at least from 1997 thru 2004) and I am glad to hear of more positive reviews. The negative ones are from pessimistic people who focus more on negative than positive. I'd come back again. I also agree that Benicia is a charming town, and a great place to live. One can walk just about anywhere from anyplace. I walked all over town from both West M Street, and Club Pacifica.
