I've been here 3-1/2 years now and love it. Am lucky (or willing to spend the $) for a unit with a view, and the view is great. I haven't had ANY of the problems I've read about in previous reviews, and have found ALL the staff to be friendly and accomodating. Repairs are handled expeditiously and professionally, and I have found that if they can't fix it, they replace it. (heck, they even volunteered to change a light bulb for me.) Yes, they only will give you "free" carpet cleaning if you sign a 1 year lease. So what' If you can't commit to them, why should they commit to you' (There is a Raley's right up the street that rents carpet cleaners, btw)
I have found that the units are generally isolated form the others and noise from other apartments is not typically a problem, although loud stomping around upstairs is noticebale. Again, I think, no worse than I would expect in an apartment. (I spend alot of time in luxury hotels, and the apartments are, at least, as quiet.)
The staff continues to attempt to make it a "community" with a monthly newsletter, and periodic activities, such as pool parties, and they provide the refreshements and food.
