I've been living in the Artech building since mid August and it has been great! No complaints. It's about 3 blocks from campus and a block from BART on Shattuck. Also on shattuck are a number of restaurants and other interesting places to check out. The apartment itself is not HUGE but it is very nicely done and really has some style to it. I'm on the 5th (top) floor and so I have a small balcony which is nice! There is a rooftop landscaped deck area and garden which is very nice. You can even see the Golden Gate and the SF Bay on a clear day! I'd highly recommend the Artech.
