I had a bad experience living here. The man that owns this building is deceptive, he showed me a different apartment before signing a lease for a smaller, worse one. He tries to intimidate his occupants, including calling their parents out of town and yelling at them (using inappropriate language i might add). His son works here too and likes to bully around tenants and (especially) their guests. There are cameras all over the building, which is eerie. The clothes dryer doesn?t work, you have to pay several times to get your clothes dry. It takes forever to get a response on your maintenance request. The locks on the doors often stick. The lease is as thick as a bible and they will threaten you if you seem to break anything in it, which includes ridiculous things like taking your window screens off or propping open the door downstairs. I would NOT in a thousand years recommend renting here. The only reason he still gets business is because of its location across the street from UCB. This building is overpriced and bears striking resemblance to ---- Germany.
