Cheap but not good enough.

The only advantages is the price. There are plenty of problems. Just to name a few,

1) About 3 to 4 people shared a bathroom. This gets very problematic if 2 or 3 students goes to class at the same time in the morning.

2) Managers work for short hours. In fact, it's rare to find mangers in the office. I often have to leave notes for the managers. Also, the mangers usually ask for CASH, not check. (There is a unconfirmed hypothesis that they keep the cash themselves.) For instance, if you lock yourself out, or if you want to move in a day or 2 earlier.

3) Electric system is old. The apartment complex is sub-divided into groups of 3 to 4 rooms. If a group uses more than approximately 3000 watts, the safety is triggered and everyone lose power. (Then someone needs to reset the trigger.) For those who don't have a good idea of 3000 watts, it's about 1 hair dryer and microwave.

Nevertheless, Evan's Manor has an almost unbeatable price if you want to live alone. It's a cheap place with plenty of problems.

I live at the Evans Manor at this time and have not had the same experience with the electricity usage minimum. I often times have three lamps, a microwave, and iron from one extension cord and have not had the problem with the electricity going out.

In addition, although the manager is rarely in their office I have not been asked to pay the posted $30 lock out fee during the two times I have locked myself out.

In addition, some of the suites have only two rooms sharing a bathroom. But most have three to four rooms sharing a room.

I live in the $390 room, utilities included. It's small but the price is unbeatable and it's close to campus. For a student on a budget, it's ideal.
