I lived at this place for 2 years. I think it was one of the better apartments around the berkeley area, but it doesn't come cheap! I think the place was just recently built (we were the 2nd group of tenants living in our unit), so you won't have much need for maintenence requests. From my experience (just once, for a minor window issue), maintenance was very quick to respond.

As with noise, you're right up against shattuck. However, the noise starts dying down around 10pm, and it's mostly silent by midnight. You'll get the occasional drunkard or garbage truck rolling by, but they're not too much of a bother.

If money isn't an issue or you're a picky person, definitely live here.
