I have been living at Libray Gardens for 1 year. I have a 2 bedroom apartment that is perfect for my 2 roommates and I. We looked everywhere for a new apartment in Berkeley and there's nothing out there other than Library Gardens. Yes, rents went up after my first year, but we couldn't find anything this nice. We found places that were $200 less but they were old, musty, and dirty inside. Our apartment at Library Gardens is new, clean, and I feel safe here. I like the building access too, you need a key or code to get into the building. The staff is always polite and eager to help. If you go to Cal, you'll love the location. It's only a block and a half away from Cal. The only thing I don't like is that my guests have to pay for parking.

"The staff is always polite and eager to help" OKAY, NOW I KNOW YOU'RE KIDDING!! Is it me, or does anyone else find it funny how the only 2 positive reviews for this place show up on exactly the same day, at exactly the same time? Seriously, huh!? Pretty suspicious don't you think? This and the other review written on 7/26/2008 are blatantly written by the apartment complex staff. The quotes above sound like they could have come from their frickin' brochure. This place is a disgrace. Funny how every single other review is negative except this. Come on guys at Library Gardens... don't come on here and try and pull the wool over people's eyes. I think the fact that there are 14 other negative and honest reviews will kind of undo any efforts you are making to doctor the truth. Unbelievable!
