The walls (and insulation - if any) are indeed very thin, so you will quite intimately get to know the routine activities of your neighbors, and of course, vice versa.
In addition, the kitchen and laundry appliances, the plumbing (look out for those overflowing toilets!) and even the building itself are shoddy: e.g., do NOT presume that the elevator goes anywhere past the first floor. (There's a total of four floors in the building including the lobby, but for some reason, probably strictly for code compliance and not any real concern for handicap access, they built the elevator to accomodate only up to the first floor. So, remember to forewarn your visitors and/or movers.)
Above all, this place takes the cake for its dishonest, money-grubbing management. Be sure to keep written records of EVERY transaction, or better yet, video/tape record all verbal statements, because management will inevitably claim zero accountability for any inconsistencies and/or policy/contractual changes - which ALWAYS involve squeezing more money out of tenants for absolutely nothing in return. The standard response is that they're only following orders from the property management firm (FPI Management), which is notorious among tenants statewide for its dishonesty and greed.
It's therefore best altogether to avoid renting any apartment from FPI Management.
