this apt complex is part of the university students' cooperative association [usca]. their website is www.usca.org where you can find the other buildings this non-profit student own and run organization operates. the user below misstated the that rochdale us own by uc berkeley, which it does not. cal owns the land in which the complex sits on and rent the land to the usca. one condition that the usca must follow as part of their leasing agreement with the campus, is that any building that occupies the land own by the school must be only rent out to cal student. thus all the inhabitants in rochdale are cal students; beside the house manager.

typical usca properties offers a plethora of amenities as hot tub, rec/common room [with cable], and pool tables. rochdale offers all these, plus a private park, organic garden, and basketball court it shares with fenwick [another usca co-op].
