Here is the main problem in Rochdale: it is extremely noisy. Since some of the people in the management are friends of the noisy residents, nothing is really done about that. If you are going to live in this place, expect many sleepless nights: quite hours now start only at 2am on weekends. Also, you'd probably want to find some quite place you can study in, as you are not going to be able to do that in your room.
Here are a couple of good things about the co-op:
1. It's cheap.
2. It's close to campus.
3. If you are lucky you can get a fine room in a reasonable apartment.
4. Not so much workshift per semester.
