Lazy staff

Years at this apartment: 2001-01-01 - 2008-01-01
We moved in here because we had a dog and it was local for work. We should have commuted. The maintenance staff is the worst. I had water shooting from the heating unit in the hallway and they didn't show up for 40 minutes and when he did, he had pillow creases on his face because he was sleeping in his apartment and ignoring the call. He said he would leave the repair for the next person and order the part. So SIX WEEKS later I had to contact the office to find out when the part would show up and found out he never ordered the part or made note of a repair being needed in our apartment. There are 12 machines(6washer/6dryers) and 3 to 4 units are broken at any one time. They WILL raise your rent every year you live there. I have been left waiting for help from the office staff on MORE THAN ONE occasion because they were playing solitaire on the computer. I awoke one evening to see the carpet moving, and when I turned on the light there were 1000s of termites crawling on the floor. I have seen cockroaches inside the apartment and crawling in the courtyard in the grass(not a couple, a lot) Mine and my husband's health has improved after leaving. We breath better and feel better(mold). The staff is shamelessly lazy and show that they couldn't care less about the tennants if they tried.
We had to move from one apartment to another because of a drug dealer next door and the new apartment had a drug dealer upstairs from us. The foot traffic and smell of marijuana was overwhelming. When we reported it to the office, nothing was done. NO police. NO warning. NO letter to us letting us know they were taking care of the 2nd drug dealer. We had it. And to add insult to injury they wanted to raise our rent. When you live in an apartment complex that allows dogs you have to understand barking, but not EIGHT, that's right EIGHT hours of non-stop barking from the neigbors(everyday). When I reported the barking all the staff did was call the tennant who told them, "It's not my dog" and they took his word for it. I had to call back and inform them that he was lying and they need to GO AND LOOK. The office's response was, "He said it's not his dog" I had to coax the lazy staff member to go and see for himself. Sleeping in their apartments, playing solitaire and just plain refusing to get off their butts to do the job, ignoring drug dealers, and not responding to flooding in your apartment is what you will deal with at Birchwood Village and don't forget they will raise your rent for it.
