'Twas fun while it lasted

I lived here for about 8 months in a 2 bedroom, downstairs unit. The neighbors upstairs were a little loud, but then again they had a dog and kids, so it was to be expected. The worst thing was the landscaping people that would come at 7 or 8am in the morning. I could never sleep in!

The management isn't the best. They actually had forced the lady that rented to us out right after we signed the lease. She was the best person there... When we moved out, it took us 4 trips to the office to get the papers signed as they never had them ready. You will also run into slow reponses to maintenance. I do like their maintenance staff - they are very nice, but make sure they actually *know* about your request, as I think the leasing staff run a bit behind.. all the time.

If you don't have a family, beware of the kids. They will be out and about as soon as school is out, and all summer. There are some really sweet kids on the premises though, and we got used to the noise.

Parking can be an issue. When they were resurfacing the streets, many people thought nothing of parking in our spot because theirs was being redone. I complained, but management said that because of the limited parking during renovation, it was to be expected. Hmm, yet when ours got revamped, I was nice enough to find an open parking spot, not a reserved one... We also had problems after renovation. Look out for your uncovered spot if you have 2 spots. They would stay away from carports, but I had to call about my other spot on at least 4 occasions - or leave notes on their cars.

Oh, and don't expect to get much of your deposit back - they have some sort of 'higher than imaginable' standard of cleanliness, and even if you have professionals come in and clean it, they will still say it's dirty. Yeah, I was a bit miffed to have my initial inspection say "clean", they a week later after I cleaned even more, I only got 1/4 of the deposit back, if that.

Overall it is a safe, family complex. I only witnessed one domestic violence case, and that was just a yelling match, really. We actually sat by the window to watch the fun as the police showed up. :)
