Nice, well-maintained apts. The neighbors tend to be older and quiet. The walls must be thick-we never even heard the toddler next door.

The only problem is that this place turns into an inferno in the summer. Don't believe the lies about the efficacy of your wall-unit air-conditioner in the living room. Although it does a great job of (noisily) cooling the 10 square feet directly in front of it, the remaining 600 feet of the apartment (including the entire bedroom) BAKE. And opening the windows doesn't help a bit when it's 99 degrees out. I spent the entire summer trying not to get heatstroke as I sat and baked in my 94 degree apartment.

Also, it's pretty expensive. Despite the fact that our rent was already $150 higher than neighboring complexes, they raised it an additional $150 when our lease expired. Ouch.

On the plus side, it's very quiet and peaceful, and there's tons of parking. If you are going to live in Brea, can't find a place with central air, and have a few extra dollars to spend, Country Woods is a great choice.
