If you enjoy roller coasters- live here!

Unfortunately, I have had to live at Maplewood apartments for far too long.
The grounds are nice: well groomed and well kept. It is relatively quiet, if you don't work from home(they're ALWAYS working on something around the property during the day and they start early!)
The apartments have roomy bedrooms, but they don't have central AC and it gets **HOT** in the summer.
If you're moving from a bigger place... think it over because there really isn't any storage space in the apartments and they won't allow you to store anything in your covered parking, IF you should get one. This means you'll have to pay a storage unit aside elsewhere.
There's practically no guest parking, and since the city of Brea does not allow parking overnight on the street, your guests will get a ticket, if they need to stay over and can't get one of the 9 spots available for the WHOLE community.
So what's the roller coaster part' Here you can't have peace more than four weeks in a row, they're constantly changing the community managers, which causes conflicts as they always come in wanting to change the rules or supposedly correcting the stuff that the past manager was doing incorrectly ;) The result is that one day they harrass you for hanging anything on your balcony, the next week you can't find anyone at the office to place a work order. Don't get me wrong, we've had a couple of very nice managers but they get transferred or fired''' without any notice and you're left confused and wondering why the ones who are actually competent are sent away'
Last, they claim to be a "gated" community, but whenever they're desperate for tenants they leave the gate open, which resulted in my GPS getting stolen from my car right here in the property's parking lot last month. Brea is a safe city, but the police officer who took my report said that the lack of lighting in the property was the problem, and it truly is too dark at might especially by the entrance gates.
But there is ONE thing that is constant here: your rent fees will be raised at the end of your contract and there is no type of advantage or reward for renewing your contract.
If you don't want to make this your "home" you'll be fine for a few months, but don't think about this place for long term.
