Pros and Cons

I read the other reviews attacking the management, and while they're pretty much correct, I'd like to review the complex itself, for any prospective renters:
Pros-
It's a one story complex so you never have noise from above and no one can complain about you either.
It's actually a very visually appealing and peaceful complex overall. There's a nice grassy center courtyard that used to invite residents to have impromptu picnics and get togethers.
There is both a living room and a den, which is almost unheard of in an apartment. The floorplans are actually quite roomy.
It is one of the only complexes in the area that allows all pets (at least it used to when I lived there). If you have a large dog, this place is a blessing because there's even a small back yard!
Cons-
The manager's a pain in the you know what.
Because all the units face towards the center courtyard, you can hear a lot of noise during the warmer months when everyone's front doors are open.
The units that haven't been remodeled or updated are pretty old and funky.
My roommate's car was stolen out of the carport and each unit only gets one parking spot. You have to pay extra if you want two which means if you have more than one car and don't want to pay extra, you have to park on the street and the City of Brea requires a parking permit for overnight street parking. This becomes a major pain for overnight guests.
The walls are paper thin. I could literally hear the next door neighboor peeing in the toilet, not to mention a lot of other disturbing things they did.
There's no central heating or AC and no dishwasher.
In summation, if you are looking for an apartment that accepts large pets, or don't care about new appliances or good management, and don't mind taking a gamble on getting a unit with quiet next door neighbors, then this one's for you!
