Terrible Choice

Overall: Terrible Experience, extremely over-priced, unprofessional staff.

Rent and Apartment Condition: Apartments are old, and nothing impressive. Currently paying $1620.00 for a 2 bedroom. Parking is an ADDITIONAL $10/mo. per parking spot. Rent skyrockets (over $400) upon renewal negotiations.

Leasing Office: I would be surprised if anyone in the leasing office even graduated Highschool let alone college. The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing. Staff will continually give you different answers to the same issues and refuse to act in a business-like manner. The office seems to operate on an "autopilot" mode when dealing with tenants and offers no flexibility to the tenant. It is impossible to argue with the staff as they refuse to say anything other than "no."

Individual Staff: Kim is a -----, Jenny (replaced Kim) is no better. David is apparently a hornball (see other reviews) and has no idea what is going on, he has continually told us misleading information.

Security: There is NO SECURITY GUARD PRESENT. The lease is very specific in stating that the management does not provide a security guard (I did not see this before signing).

Illegal Parking: If someone parks in your spot, it is nearly impossible to get the car removed or towed. The listed phone number is for the Brea PD, which claims it has no jurisdiction to tow cars. Although Raintree does have a tow company under contract, the company will not respond to tenant requests to tow when someone is parked in your spot. The leasing office's policy is to wait 48 hours before towing any car. Parking past 5 PM is horrible as everyone and their mother seems to park their cars in the lot.

Noise: The "raintree motif" can only be maintained by constant gardening, which means loud leaf blowers and lawn mowing 3-5 days a week.

So true about the lawn mower and leaf blower.

I agree whole heartedly. Noise is not just a problem from the constant gardening, we have neighbors who party every friday. It is 3:15 in the morning and i have not been able to go to sleep yet. They stay on the balcony and are loud as hell. One of the guys took a piss off the balcony about 30 min ago. No amount of complaining during the day has changed anything. There is no number to call at 3 am to have this insanity stop. We were told when we moved in there was a zero tolerance noise policy. There was security that walked the grounds late at night to early in the morning and a zero tolerance drug policy. The smell of weed is filling my home, while these loud morons continue to disrupt this side of the complex and I have to sit up and take it since there is no one to call. i am through with this place
