Apartments were ok

We lived in these apartments for one year. Office staff was great for the duration of our living there, except for one older woman who I haven't seen for some time. My partner and I were in the foyer in front of the office and this woman (never got her name, but I believe she was the manager) came out and rudely asked us if we needed help. We stated that we were new residents and were looking at the other floor plans available. She just said "oh, okay" and walked away, didn't introduce herself or ask how we were in our new apartment. Then, about 5 minutes later she came back over and very harshly said "Can I help you two'", we repeated "no we are still looking at the different floor plans". That was the only negative run in with office staff. The leasing agent (Kim) that leased us our apartment was VERY kind and fun, whenever she saw us she would ask how the apartment was. There was a very bad bug problem, and even the last evening we were in the apartment we found a very large black widow on our porch. That was the second black widow I had seen living there. There was also a pair of raccoons on our porch one night, they were cute but scared the crap out of me. Lots of cats roaming around the complex, and they loved our porch too. Had a coyote in the parking lot one night, sat in my car scared for about 30 minutes until I was sure he wasn't around. The car-wash always had something wrong with it. Parking was horrendous! There was at least three times that I drove around the entire complex for, I'm not exaggerating, well over an hour waiting for people to leave. They wouldn't rent out both garages and carports because supposedly there weren't enough to go around, yet the vast majority of garages I saw had one residents vehicle in it and they would use the other space for storage. There was suppose to be 2 separate resident spaces per garage. Maintenance response time was great, never waited more than an hour for them to fix any problem we might have had. There was quite a few times there would be police around the complex, I was told it was mostly them responding to supposed drug dealing from certain apartments. I never didn't feel safe in the complex, but there were numerous cars that were broken into, common sense probably could have saved those vehicles though (ex: leaving money, CD's, purses, etc out in the open). The landscaping was always very well kept. Kitchens were small, and storage was limited. Truthfully though, when it came time for the renewal of our lease the rent had been risen far too high to justify the lack of amenities offered.
