The place seems nice, initially. It's spacious, the surrounding area is nice. So my husband and I moved in. I was 5 months pregnant at the time. We had been there a couple of months when I woke up one night to find water dripping down on my face. Come to find out that the upstairs neighbors' bathtub was leaking and there was a crack in our ceiling so it was dripping down on me and our mattress. Our mattress was soaking and pretty much ruined and all they did was give us a fan! Then a few weeks later, there was a heavy rainstorm. The water came in and soaked and ruined half the carpet in our room. They ripped out the stuff under the carpet(I don't know what you call it) but didn't replace the actual carpet. They just put that big fan in the room again and for two nights my husband and my 8 month pregnant self slept out in the living room on our mattress. No apology, no nothing. When it came time to move to a bigger apartment to make room for the three of us, we cleaned the crap out of the place. It was honestly cleaner than it was when we moved in. I cleaned it so good on purpose to make sure that they didn't charge us to clean. But they did. $120 to wipe down blinds and clean oven, that's the only thing the cleaning bill said. Then we got charged $760 to replace the carpet, due to urine stains. We had a dog, I swear he pissed on the floor a handfull of times but we had a deep cleaner for the carpet and I used it every time. But the point is that they needed to replace the carpet anyway due to the water damage. But they didn't and we got charged for it. So out of the $900 deposit we put down we got back 20 flippin dollars. We never cashed the check. It wasn't worth the trip to the atm. We were a young couple just starting our family and our future and we needed that money more than they did. But they took it and our rent money and never gave us back anything but a cracked roof over our heads. Don't throw your money away!
