It's not too bad if you are patient

The best thing about Tamarack Woods is their deposit return: almost 90% came back upon leaving the apartment. The worst part is the neighbors and the manager's cat. The neighbors were up till dawn, and swore and made all kinds of music. The management did their best to keep up with the problems in the complex until satisfied. The one thing that bugged me is maintenance crew used the facilities while on duty (when I wasn't there) and either they forgot to flush the toilet, or left the seat up to make it obvious they had been there. The apartment was run down, with a lot of silverfish roaming around, and I had my share of killing crickets that came through the door. Utilities are all shared (Water, Trash, gas), which means whether you are all by yourself and don't use much, you still share the split cost plus handling charges, which I found out upon leaving the premises in '99. The funniest thing I saw was if an apartment wasn't cleared out when tenants left, whatever is salvageable was sold at a garage sale where the manager and spouse(maintenance) made their extra money. The cat I mentioned earlier made every effort to use my planters in my patio as its litter box. I finally kept my planters so moist it deterred that stupid cat, and killed all my plants from root rot. That really stunk. I had an incident where I was followed into the apartment because the gate closed too slow, but I called the cops and they came right away (Horray for Brea PD!!) Brea PD also came to control the noise problems from my next door neighbor multiple times. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
