I lived here during 2006 and noticed the complex going downhill. Near the basketball court, people would smoke pot at night. I'd be out getting my mail and there they were. The hot water was out for several days and we barely received an apology. The management changes all the time and because of this it took me two weeks to get my parking space changed. Don't park near the basketball court (that is, unless you want food stuck to your car by pranksters).

There are only two laundry rooms and they just had a problem with the dryers. I remember taking my clothes out and everything smelling like gas...

And the deposit' That was fun! I gave up waiting for it to come in the mail and sat at their corporate headquarters until they would give me the (very overdue) check.

I think the price increase is ridiculous and that's one of the main reasons we didn't stay. There are much nicer places in Brea (Maplewood for instance) and you should think twice before signing a lease here.
