I previously reviewed this Apartment back in January, todays date is 3/16/04. My inital review was overwritten with this one. The date should of changed, dont know why it didnt.

Almost 2 months after I moved in. Iım now in my 4th month, counting the days before I get released from this prison "lease". Lets recap:

1. Hope you like kids, because there are tons of them here - screaming all day.

2. Extremely noisy around the pool (12noon - 10:30pm)

3. Appliances cheap - breakdown easily. Yes, there is a refrigerator, but very small, & of such poor quality, that the thermostat cannot function properly if the frig is more than half full (frozen milk & veggies; thawed & rotten meats). A/C unit only covers 3 ft from the unit.

4. Parking Lot is a nightmare. Already have 4 door dings on my compact car (short term residents just dont care.

5. Maintenance enter apartments without notice. Example, I put in a work request & sometime within the next 4 weeks, the maintenance guy will go in for repairs. He usually times it when no ones home, even if you request to be there. Theres no report provided to the tenant, and in most cases the repairs arent even done.

6. Leasing staff have so far been useless. Yes, the lobby has coffee (luke-warm brown water) and cookies (the only thing any good), a couple days a week, but is that really worth paying $925 month for an apartment that shakes everytime the elevator moves between floors;or the windows & walls rattle each time someone slams their entry door (which happens about 10 times a night). What about the lack of privacy, of respect, the noise, not to mention, the area.

If youre short term, go to Oakwood Apts, and if your long term, look in "Sherman Oaks", "Studio City", "Valley Village", or "LA", but stay away from "Burbank".
