Great location...rundown building

I've lived here for over 2 years, and I've finally had enough. The pool area IS very nice, and the view is wonderful...I can see Griffith Park, Glendale and the Equestrian Center from my apartment. The view and location were the only things keeping me here. I've decided it's more important to be in a cleaner better kept building.
I started out in a studio apartment here...and during the first rainstorm...my ceiling CAVED IN! I'm serious. Water was GUSHING in. It took several days for the water to dry out. Ceiling was all over my floor. It was so bad that the management had to move me into another unit. Until that point, I thought this place was great. Now I realize that the buildings are old and rundown. They don't even have drain spouts for the water. When it rains they have to pump it off the roof!
The staff is not eager to help with maintenance requests. Sometimes they turn the water off for no reason. One time I was getting ready for work, my water was off, and I couldn't take a shower! It was horrible.
Do not move in. You can find a place that's nicer for the same price. These units don't even have dishwashers. The elevators only work half the time, and the same goes for the gated parking. Sometimes the gates won't open and I have to go to the other gate to get out of the parking lot. I repeat...do not move here.
