This place has two things to recommend itself: It has a very nice pool and it is located right next to the Circle K ranch and you can go riding anytime you feel like it. That's cool but that's it! Other than that the place is a complete nightmare and I literally breathed a sigh of relief when I moved out. The staff changes frequently and is for the most part rude and almost always unwilling to help even with very small matters. The place is noisy around the clock. At 6:30 AM it's kids screaming "Marco Polo" at the pool and at 2:30 AM it's naked drunk guys screaming whatever before they get arrested by the cops. While I lived there a guy collapsed in the lobby after beeing stabbed by his son. Another time the police asked me for a chainsaw so they could demolish my neighbours door - I'm NOT kidding! - Any girl will get hit on by the pool by the same old geezers if she tells them to back off they'll act insulted and will sulk. It happened to my girlfriend, my brother's girlfriend my best friend's girlfriend you name it... The place has generally a weird redneck feel to it with a lot of old regulars getting drunk on a regular basis. The place is falling apart that's true, and when you want to get something fixed it takes a year -I'm not exaggerating - before anything at all gets done. Gates often don't work - Sometimes they don't open at all and sometimes they just remain open for days on end. When it rains and you live on the top floor like I did your tiny apartment will be flooded and your ceiling will come falling into the kitchen area - don't worry it will be fixed in a year or so - and then you will hear the maintenance workers on the roof pumping out the water for three days. The walls are paper thin. If your neighbour is into video games at 3:00AM you'll know it. There are a lot of people from out of town who just moved to LA and I guess like I did they didn't know any better. There are very nice places to live in LA. Tihs one is not one of them.

Wow. I've lived at the Royal Equestrian for a year now, and dont seem to have run into any problems that you've stated. It's a beautifully renovated building with full time attentive maintenance and mangements staff. I have never had a problem with anything getting fixed in my apartment. The renovations and decor throughout the building are superior, and the location is one of the best. I don't know what the problem was with your living situation, but for myself, it's been a pleasure, and I plan to stay and refer more people to this great community.
