If you like peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. There is construction going on now, right next door, and there are renovations going on inside the complex as well. Every single day, drilling, pounding, banging from every direction....and then there are the ceilings, which are paper thin. If you tour this place, do not believe anyone when they tell you "they were originally supposed to be condos, so the walls and ceilings are extra thick." BS! If you get a first floor apartment, you're screwed, and you will regret it more than anything. A year is a long time....
There was just a break-in recently--even though there is a security guard walking around. So there is a false sense of security. And when there is a problem, management does not do anything to help solve it. For this kind of money you could do A LOT better.
Do not make a mistake! There are plenty of other expensive places you could rent, with half the problems.

I strongly disagree with the comments above. First of all, the renovations are being dealt with efficiently and with good work ethics. Once completed this is going to be a beautiful community to live in, more so then it already is. In reference to the comment on the construction next door, Scott Villa owners and staff have no control over that unfortunately. This is a very peaceful place to live with a wonderful resort feel. In addition, I have lived here for many years and the management and maintenance staff have ALWAYS dealt with any issues on a quick and professional level.

Of course the management wrote the above. They are trying to defend the true things people are saying after living here for a year to many years. why would the residents have a reason to lie? The management is the only one with a motive to lie. They need business.
All of the negative comments people have posted are true. This is not a resort, nor does it give the feeling of a resort. It is an apartment complex. If people wanted a resort they surely would not come to Scott Villa Apartments! Do not be fooled by all of the new renovations...the same problems will still exist. You'll just have newly painted stairwells.
